They’re Here! Meet the 2027 Bright Teacher Planners

They’re Here! Meet the 2027 Bright Teacher Planners

There’s something especially exciting about seeing an idea that has lived on a computer screen for months finally become something you can hold in your hands — and our 2027 Bright Teacher Planners have officially arrived!

After months of designing, refining and thinking carefully about what teachers actually need from a planner, our first printed collection is here, and our Bright Teacher Planner is now ready to ship.

A planner designed by a teacher, for teachers

The Bright Teacher Planner came from my own experience as an educator — and from knowing that teaching requires us to keep track of so much more than dates and deadlines.

Yes, we need somewhere for our timetable, lesson plans, assessment records, professional development and the never-ending list of things to remember. But after experiencing burnout myself, I also wanted to create something that acknowledged the person behind the teacher.

That’s why throughout the planner you’ll find teacher-focused affirmations, wellbeing reminders and opportunities for reflection alongside the practical planning pages.

It’s not about adding another thing to your to-do list. It’s about having small reminders throughout a busy school year to check in with yourself, recognise what you’ve achieved and remember that your wellbeing matters too.

Practical, colourful and made for the classroom

I wanted these planners to feel joyful when you pull one out of your bag or place it on your desk, while still being genuinely practical for everyday school life.

Each A4, coil-bound 2027 Teacher Planner includes dated weekly planning pages across Terms 1–4, with a six-period-per-day layout designed for Australian and New Zealand classrooms.

Inside you’ll also find timetable and personal details pages, assessment recording spreads, space to record professional development, teacher-focused wellbeing prompts and end-of-term reflection pages.

And, of course, there’s plenty of colour.

The collection comes in four cover designs — Bright, Navy, Peach and Olive — so whether you love something colourful and cheerful or prefer a more understated look, there’s an option to suit you.

They’re ready to ship!

One of the best parts of collecting the finished planners is being able to say that they’re no longer a preorder — they’re here and ready to go! While the Navy, Peach and Olive Planners are still being prepped and printed, the Bright is now available!

If you’re already thinking about getting organised for the 2027 school year, you can order yours now and have it ready and waiting before the end-of-year rush.

They also make a lovely end-of-year teacher gift for a colleague, mentor, graduate teacher, teaching partner or someone who has made a difference this year.

Or, of course, you can simply buy one for yourself. Teachers are allowed to give themselves presents too!

Come and see them in person this Sunday

If you’d like to see the planners before choosing your favourite, come and visit Dayna Tinline Designs at the St Kilda Esplanade Market this Sunday.

You’ll be able to see the different cover designs, feel the finished planner and flick through the pages to see exactly how it works.

There’s something very different about seeing stationery in person — particularly a planner that you’re going to use almost every day for an entire year — so I’d love for you to come by, say hello and have a look.

A limited first print run

As a small business, this first collection has been produced as a limited print run. That makes seeing these planners finally sitting in front of me even more special — but it also means there are only a limited number available in each design.

So, if you’ve had your eye on one, particularly a favourite cover, I recommend grabbing it while it’s available.

More than anything, I hope these planners bring a little colour, calm and joy to teachers throughout 2027.

Teaching can be busy, unpredictable, rewarding, exhausting and wonderful — sometimes all before morning tea. My hope is that the Bright Teacher Planner becomes a small companion through all of it: helping you organise the things you need to do, while occasionally reminding you to look after the person doing them.

The 2027 Bright Teacher Planners are available now and ready to ship.

And if you’re in Melbourne, come and say hello at the St Kilda Esplanade Market this Sunday. I’d love to show you what I’ve created. 🌈💛

Here’s to a brighter, more organised — and hopefully a little more balanced — 2027.
